Artists / Penelope Jordan
Circular Flame (detail), 2011
Jordan’s work is derived from old building plans, electrical systems, maps and musical instruments. Her obsession for linear lines fuels her original ideas, which are developed with other imagery, ranging from colour combinations in foliage to mechanical machinery.
Quilting techniques are also emerging in her work as she uses inventive ways of layering and stitching textures together whilst incorporating an unusual materials such as Latex, Felt and PVC.
