Lesley Halliwell studied Fine Art at Nottingham Trent University (BA Hons Fine Art 1989), Goldsmith's College, London (MA Art History 1995) and Manchester Metropolitan University (MA Fine Art 2001).

Lesley Halliwell is Director of Suite Studio Group, Salford and is a Visiting Lecturer at University College, Chester.
